Max Paul Schwennsen and John Nelson started working together in 1979
at John’s Crow Recording Studio in Bellingham and later in Seattle. Max was the singer-songwriter in
the band Scargill and lately Waxy Maxy . For the past 24 years they’ve written, produced
and played together. Combining the elements of folk-rock, blues and country, they have been
establishing an eclectic blend. From 1982’s “It’s Not Over ‘till It’s Over” to 2002’s
“Frida” their original songs cross musical boundaries. They’ve been appearing at local
coffee houses and bookstores.
